Components of gas pipelines
Magistral gas pipeline-a complex engineering and technical structure. In addition to the main gas pipes directly, it includes various systems that are designed to ensure its uninterrupted and safe operation.
The most important component parts of the gas pipeline are a gas breeding station, a gas -commercial collector, treatment facilities and compressor stations. Compressor stations are located over the entire length of the gas pipeline: their main purpose is to maintain the necessary pressure in the system, as well as gas purification, its drainage and cooling. After these important “procedures”, gas enters the main gas pipes and continues its movement to the destination.
Today, one of the main requirements for any system is environmental safety. Therefore, during the construction of gas pipelines, this issue is given increased attention.
The diameter of the main pipe
According to the classification and SNiP in Russia, the main gas pipelines are divided into classes depending on the internal pressure under which the gas is pumped. The higher the working pressure, the higher the performance of the system: the most powerful of them supply to consumers 30-35 billion cubic meters of gas per year.
Class I pipelines are designed for pressure from 2.5 to 10 MPa, class II pipelines are designed for pressure from 1.2 to 2.5 MPa, low -pressure trunk pipelines belong to grade III. Further, they are distributed by the product through gas pipelines of local significance.
Another most important characteristic of the main gas pipes, on which the general productivity of the system directly depends - naturally, the diameter of the pipe. During the construction of trunk gas pipelines, pipes with a diameter of 720 to 1420 mm are used.
Features of the production and transportation of pipes
The material for the manufacture of main gas pipes is determined based on the future performance of the structure, climatic conditions in the areas of its passage, and is also dictated by the laying method.
The main methods of laying the main systems are underground, ground and aboveground, when the pipes are installed on special supports. To pass water barriers, an underwater styling method is used.
In overground laying in some cases, plastic pipes can be used. In all other cases, the main material for the manufacture of gas pipes is steel. Steel main gas pipes are high strength, ensuring the safety and durability of the entire system, and the willingness to work in the most difficult natural conditions that are so characteristic of our country.
For the transportation of gas pipes to the future “place of work”, due to their negligence, special equipment is used.
Magistral gas pipes of the Zagorsky Pipe Plant
