STS, a pipe -pipe welded or simply pipeline - a steel product, the main “working advantage” of which should be considered high strength, the ability to withstand the loads in various directions. This and a number of other important properties allows you to actively use technologies using pipeline punts in the work of various types and scale: from the equipment of small pits to the arrangement of deep wells and the construction of large hydraulic facilities.

A separate STS is a pipe equipped with a pair of special castle mounts: fasteners are welded along the pipe and are located “in diameter” against each other.

The round cross section of the profile gives the pipeline to the required “resistance” to the loads (the laws of the sopromat are of great benefit). The main characteristics of the STS are the brand of steel from which the product is produced, as well as its geometric dimensions: length, diameter and wall thickness. Modern computer modeling methods allow you to calculate the strength characteristics of the future pipeline circuit in advance and select the optimal solution depending on the tasks “on the ground”.

The total strength of the structure also depends on the reliability of the locks. Modern castle joints are ready to withstand the loads of up to 700 or more tons of strength per linear meter. At the same time, many Russian companies producing STSs offer both standard structures and their own developments, including patented ones, which are able to provide an even higher reliability of the connection.

The standard diameter of the shopant products varies from 400 to 1600 mm, length up to 12 meters. At the same time, buying products up to 40 meters long is possible to buy “on order”.


The production of the STS is carried out in accordance with GOST 5266, approved in 2010. Only products that are fully consistent with this GOST can be used in Russia.
